Born: 1/9/1957 in Havana, Cuba but raised in Miami, Florida.
Sign: the Virgo.
Parents: Her father, a bodyguard employed by the Cuban president Fulgencio Batista, was forced to leave the island after a coup in 1959 to escape.
Life: An island off the coast of Miami, Florida. Also has a multi-million dollar Cardozo Hotel and restaurant on the beach in Miami Lario.
Loving life: Married with producer Emilio Estefan and entrepreneurs since 1979. They have two children, son and daughter Emily Nayib.
Trivia: Estefan has sold more than 60 million records to date.
Health: While the tour on March 20, 1990, Gloria was hit by a bus-tractor trailer. He has a broken spine.
